ABOUT APPS
Who Are We?
The Alliance for Paralegal Professional Standards (also known as "APPS") is a North Carolina ad hoc organization formed in February 2001.
APPS' mission was accomplished in October of 2004 with
the inclusion of the Plan for Paralegal Certification within the North
Carolina Administrative Code and the appointment of the initial Board of
Paralegal Certification.
APPS will keep up this website
through 2005 to inform the North Carolina legal community about the Plan
for Certification of Paralegals.
What Was Our Mission?
- To develop and facilitate implementation of generally acceptable professional standards for the paralegal profession in North Carolina.
- To advance, foster, and promote the paralegal profession in North Carolina.
- To provide a unified voice to accomplish the mission.
- To monitor developments and to collect and disseminate information from any source affecting the mission.
